Partnerships


WED Faculty

Faculty in the Center for Workforce Development have an interest in partnering with public and private sector institutions to address the research and development, education and training, and information and product dissemination components of the Center.  The Center can assist public and private sector employers in the following ways:

*Assisting groups such as local workforce investment boards and education to career consortiums for teaching, planning and goal setting.

*Delivering workshops/seminars to address workplace and workforce needs.

*Conducting studies addressing issues affecting worker retention and recruitment and the relationship of workforce development to economic development and business retention.

*Assessing the effects of the new legislation of the workforce in public and private sector organizations.

*Developing industry specific courses and/or graduate courses designed to address individual's professional development needs.

*Developing organization specific training materials in conjunction with public and private sector organizations.

*Networking the community colleges to articulate customized workforce development courses.

*Disseminating new research and/or training materials to local, state, national and international partners.
